Trackside
For over 25 years Trackside have been the premium manufacturers and suppliers of a wide range of reproduction railway related signs, ranging from full size running in boards, metal totems, targets and platform signs, to miniature totems, targets and shed plates on self adhesive vinyl. If you are considering having a totem made, you will find many suppliers offer them for sale at prices much lower than ours, to prices much higher.

Quality and accuracy does not always have to have a high price tag, so consider the following points carefully before committing to having one made. We offer account facilities (and a discount) for Heritage Railways and bona-fide loco and coach restorers. If you wish to order on behalf of the above, please contact us for details, BEFORE placing an order.
Services
Almost 200 different station names are available from stock and due to updating of production equipment, any name in any regional colour can now be supplied.
We can supply preserved railways, museums, etc. with names personalised to their particular locations.
These names will be exclusive to the organisation and not offered by Trackside for general sale.
These can be printed in normal format (on vinyl) or supplied on either clear (permanent adhesive) vinyl or cling film for sticking inside windows.
Targets are the longest lived of the station signs, starting their existence in the days of the Southern Railway and some lasting until after the totem era.
Although they retained their basic shape throughout their lives, there were many variations.
The signs were not of a standard length, but varied from 36 inches downward to some as short as 21 inches.
The position and number of fixing holes also varied - they mostly had eight holes but some were produced with only six.
The height of the lettering in the main body of the target always remained at 3 inches, but did vary in thickness of the characters from being very bold (pre-war) to normal.
If you are considering having a totem made, you will find many suppliers offer them for sale at prices much lower than ours, to prices much higher.
Quality and accuracy does not always have to have a high price tag, so consider the following points carefully before committing to having one made.
The shape of the totem must be correct.
Many on the market have the wrong radii on the upper and lower panels and some suppliers offer only a flat version with face drilled holes.
The shaping for Trackside's totems is based on careful research and has been checked against many originals for accuracy.
Please note that all prices quoted are full prices inclusive of delivery to UK mainland addessses.
Delivery is by first class post, carrier, or by our own transport.
For smaller items, despatch is normally within 48 hours of receipt of your order, but if for any reason there is likely to be a delay in completing your order, an Order Confirmation will be sent indicating the approximate delay also acknowledging any payment that has been made.
Delivery to any UK mainland address is FREE for all orders exceeding 5.00.
Up until 2012,T rackside attended various railfairs and galas, in places ranging from Thornaby in the north, to Exeter and Bournemouth in the south and at many Heritage Railway locations, where you could meet us and discuss your requirements and see samples of our products first hand and be assured of their quality, before purchasing.
However, the pressure of work through this website and family health problems, has meant that we are now no longer able to attend at galas, etc.
