Services
Leander Architectural and The Royal Label Factory (RLF) have always been family businesses, the RLF dating back to 1874 and Leander to 1986.
The two businesses merged in 1998.
Over the years, many aspects of our work have changed with the advent of computer graphics, laser cutting and etching, but old crafts such as hand-carving in clay and timber are still practised every day.
Our foundry now uses electric furnaces, but moulding and casting techniques have changed little over the years, the emphasis being on skill and attention to detail.

We are manufacturers of a large range of bespoke Architectural castings and structures.
Over the years, we've accumulated a vast number of casting patterns for architectural components.
Many of these can easily be incorporated into canopies, verandahs or other structures.
Adding a few cast components can turn a very ordinary metal structure into something much more attractive.
Only about half of our range is illustrated here, for the simple reason that drawing the more elaborate decorative castings is a major exercise!

We've been making village signposts and pedestrian fingerposts for over 100 years and, not surprisingly, we have a very extensive range of traditional designs, many going back to the 1950s or earlier when most rural signing was made of cast of cast metal.
We also have contemporary designs, using stainless steel or anodised columns with a wide range of finger designs and materials.

Some of the many spandrel bracket patterns we hold for decorative and structural spandrels are illustrated here.
We have a range of Columns, Friezes, cross-beams & Crestings that match our Spendrels and Brackets well.
We have many more, but some are very old types and no modern drawings currently exist - these are currently being updated.
Please do contact us if you want a specific size or design and we'll let you know if we have something suitable, or how we can make something bespoke.
Many of the smaller spandrels and brackets are used to enhance simple architectural structures such as canopies and verandahs.

We both manufacture new and repair or restore (even adding new names) existing memorials - from simple cast grave markers on stakes through to large public works.
We can also sculpt, design, cast and manufacture new memorial tablets, regimental insignia, memorial swords and figures.
Aluminium and Bronze are our traditional materials to work with, but we often use others as requested.
Recent projects include memorials for the Peterloo Massacre, Royal Marines and Manchester University.
