One of the most common concerns Manchester businesses have when they first contact us about a van wrap is the process. How long does it take? Do I need my own designer? What if I only have a basic logo? Do I need to bring the van in while the design is being done?
Here’s exactly how we work — from your first call to driving away with a fully branded vehicle.
Step 1: Free Enquiry and Quote (Day 1)
The process starts with a conversation. Call us on 07737 902 425 or email hello@webprintsigns.co.uk with your vehicle type (make, model, and year), what you’d like the design to include, and any brand assets you have (logo files, brand colours, examples you like).
We’ll come back to you the same day with a detailed quote including design, print, and installation. No obligation, no pressure — just a clear price so you can make an informed decision.
Step 2: Design Brief and Artwork (Days 2–4)
Once you confirm the order, our in-house design team creates your wrap artwork. We work from your existing logo and brand guidelines (if you have them) or start from scratch if you don’t. We’ll produce a design laid over a template of your exact vehicle model — so you can see exactly how the finished wrap will look before anything is printed.
We send you a proof for approval. You can request revisions — we include up to 3 rounds of amendments in every project. Most clients are happy after the first or second proof.
Step 3: Print (Days 4–5)
Once you’ve approved the artwork, we send it to print on our wide-format printers. We use only premium cast vinyl — Metamark or 3M — with UV-resistant inks. Print runs typically take 1–2 days depending on the complexity and quantity.
The vinyl is then laminated with a gloss or matte overlaminate for additional protection and durability.
Step 4: Installation (Days 5–7)
You bring your van to our Manchester M8 studio, or we can arrange collection in some cases. Our installation team prepares the vehicle surface — degreasing and cleaning every panel before any vinyl touches it. This preparation step is where cheap installers cut corners; we never do.
The wrap is applied panel by panel in our heated workshop, using heat guns to conform the vinyl to complex curves and recesses. A standard full-wrap installation typically takes 6–8 hours. Partial wraps and vinyl graphics are usually done in 2–4 hours.
Step 5: Quality Check and Handover
Before you collect your vehicle, we do a full quality inspection — checking for lifting edges, air bubbles, misalignments, and colour consistency. We then walk you through the aftercare instructions so your wrap stays looking great for its full 5–7 year lifespan.
Total Timeline: 5–10 Working Days
From your first enquiry to driving away, the typical timeline is 5–10 working days. Express turnaround is available for urgent projects — call us to discuss your deadline and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can meet it.
